My Story: Growing up, I noticed something about the women around me.
They were living their lives mostly for other people, neglecting their own needs, and were weighed down by unspoken traumas and shame. All this occurred often at the expense of their own wellbeing.
I’m here to support women who feel overwhelmed, anxious, burnt-out, or disconnected.
Growing up as a Millennial, I admired the women in my life—strong, intelligent, and selfless—but I also saw how societal expectations weighed on them. They prioritised everyone else’s needs, often at the expense of their own. This left them them anxious, stressed, and insecure. As I delved into mental health, I wondered why women face higher rates of anxiety, depression, trauma, and even chronic illness. What makes being female so intertwined with these issues? Whatever it is, I decided that this is a collective experience and the solution has got to recognise this.
These reflections led me to challenge some of these things in my own life, and seek out like-minded women. I was drawn to counselling and a commitment to create a safe, supportive space for women. Life’s demands can feel relentless, pulling you away from your authentic self, leading to self-abandonment. The stories we absorb about who we “should” be often mask who we truly are (or want to be).
I’m here to help you untangle those stories, to set boundaries, and reconnect with the real you. Together, we’ll work through anxiety, self-doubt, and perfectionism, so you can live a life that feels value aligned, meaningful, and free from guilt.
You don’t have to do this alone. I’ll be with you every step of the way.
Warmly,
Amber
”I’ve worked across the community sector helping people through addiction and into recovery, in suicide prevention, crisis counselling and anxiety management. I’ve worked with groups and one one one. I’ve provided mental health education. In my private practice I have worked alongside women who inspire me, to help them manage anxiety, over-thinking, burn-out, and depression. I have had the honour and privilege to work with women as they bravely learn new ways to share, process and navigate trauma and old childhood wounds. Every day I do this job I am inspired, impressed and privileged”.
